Obituary of Joseph James Minniti

Joseph James Minniti - Joseph J. Minniti of West Orange died on Sunday December 21, 2008 at his home in West Orange. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday December 27, 2008 at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange 340 Main Street at 8:30 AM then to Our Lady of Lourdes Church 1 Eagle Rock Avenue in West Orange for the Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Orange. Visiting will be Friday 3-7 PM. Letters of condolence may be posted at danglerfuneralhome.com. Mr. Minniti was born and raised in Orange before moving to West Orange 1 year ago. He was a Special Police Officer for the Township of Orange for many years before retiring in 1984. Mr. Minniti served in the United States Army from 1942-1945. He was a member of the Essex Troop Association, 102D Recognizance Cavalry Regiment, the West Orange Armory, and the VFW. Mr. Minniti was the devoted father of Joan Dittrich, Joseph E. Minniti and Diane Cross. Loving brother of Anthony, Jeanette Scala, Benny, Carmen and Michael. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
