Obituary of Maria F Duarte

Maria F. (nee Gaspar) Duarte of Asbury, NJ passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the age of 85. Maria was born and raised in Portugal, settled in the United States where she resided in the Ironbound section of Newark, then lived in West Orange and Kearny before moving to Asbury. She enjoyed crocheting and reading. Visitation will be at the Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street in West Orange, (danglerfuneralhome.com) on Thursday, August 3rd from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, August 4th at 10:00 AM at Saint John's Church 94 Ridge Street, Orange. Interment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Ave., East Hanover. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Maria's memory to the Franklin Township Rescue Squad, Asbury-Broadway Road, Asbury NJ 08808 Maria was the beloved wife of the late Antonio Duarte; devoted mother of Luis (Susan) Duarte, Ana (Greg) Payne, Sergio (Patty) Duarte, Bela (Jack) Almeida and Terry (Brandon Winters) Sylvester; dear sister of Branca Cardoso, the late Fred Gaspar, the late Joe Gaspar and the late Furtoso Gaspar; and cherished grandmother of Jason, Adaria, John, Devon, Dakota, Janine, Daniel, Tyler, Jianna, Elizabeth, and Jaila
