Obituary of Jewel Mae Howes

Jewel Mae Howes, 76 Jewel Mae Howes, of West Orange passed on Friday, March 18, 2016. A 9:30 AM Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Ave., West Orange. Cremation will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street in West Orange. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jewel's name to; St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-990. Jewel was born and raised in Orange before moving to West Orange 25 years ago. She worked in packaging for Organon in West Orange for many years. Jewel was a member of the Our Lady of Lourdes Choir and Rosary Altar Society. Jewel was the beloved daughter of the late Carl and Margaret Howes. Loving sister of Richard Howes and his wife Mary Ann, Jacqueline Chin and her husband James, and the late Shirley Cooney and Joan Lee. She is also survived by her nieces Susan Chin and Laura Pflug and her family.
