Obituary of B Gladys Stumpf

B. Gladys Stumpf, 92 B. Gladys Stumpf, (nee Hoffman), 92, of West Orange passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2015. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM on Monday, May 4, 2015 at Holy Innocents Church, Prospect Street in West Orange. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Montclair. Arrangements are entrusted to The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street in West Orange. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3 to 6 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to: St. Elizabeth Chapel, 5 3rd Avenue, Ortley Beach, NJ 08751. Gladys was born and raised in Orange and lived in Livingston before moving to West Orange 45 years ago. She worked for the West Orange Board of Education as a teacher at Gregory Avenue School in West Orange for 31 years. She was a member of the NJ Education Association, the Essex County Retired Education Association, the National Education Association. Gladys was a Warden and Vestry at All Saints Episcopal Church, past president of The Episcopal Church Women's of ASC, President and on the Board of Trustees of The Auxiliary of The House of The Holy Comforter. She received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Episcopal Diocese of Newark. Gladys was the beloved wife of the late Edmond Rice and Walter Stumpf. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
