Obituary of Anthony Michael Strollo

Anthony Michael Strollo, 76 Anthony Michael Strollo, 76, a longtime resident of Batavia, NY, passed away after a long battle with Parkinson's disease at the home of his daughter, son-in-law, and grandson in Manahawkin, NJ. . Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2015 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street in West Orange. Then to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Ave., West Orange for the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Cremation will be private. Letters of condolence may be posted at dangerfuneralhome.com. Anthony Strollo was a retired harness horse trainer and driver at Buffalo Raceway, Batavia Downs and the Meadowlands. He was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Batavia. He was a US Army veteran and a member of the former St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Parish in Batavia, NY. He was the son of the late Michael and Ann (Torcello) of Batavia, NY. He is survived by his two daughters, Christine Kearns (James), and Andrea Stanaway (Jason). He is also survived by 5 grandsons, Vincent M. Strollo, Michael A, Christopher J, Anthony A., and Joseph P. Stanaway. He was the brother of Ann Marie Caste (Dr. Paul). He was the nephew of Ralph Torcello, Patricia Torcello, Rose Strollo, Albert Strollo, and Anthony (Jean) Strollo, all residing in the Batavia area. Several cousins also survive.
