Charles Trabold was a friend and neighbor in my condominium. He was a very kind and hard working man who always helped out when needed and spent many years and time when he was our Board President. I also knew him through the Elks organization as my family belongs to Orange Elks No. 135 and is from West Orange.
I know how much Charlie has been through these past years and yet he still found time to support me through my family's grief when I lost my nephew James Reitberger this past January. He also was very supportive when I went through a medical crisis similar to his, I will miss seeing and talking and emailing him very much.
My heartfelt condolences to his family.

Well Chuck it has been a long time since we last saw each other but now after all your achievements you can take a well deserved rest. Your altruistic intentions have made you an outstanding citizen in the world. What is most appreciated is that you did it all without any thoughts of capitalizing from your efforts. So it follows that the best reward for a job well done is to have done it.

I served with Charlie in the National Guard and worked with him as a member of the Essex Troop. He was the epitome of an Officer and Gentleman. He cared a great deal about his work and always was considerate of those he worked with having compassion and genuine concern. He was a friend and a mentor and may he rest in peace his Mission Complete. "Faith and Fortitude" BG William J. Marshall
