Obituary of Francis E. Chabala

Francis E. "Frank" Chabala, 80 Francis E. "Frank" Chabala, 80, of West Orange passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015 at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 9:30 AM at Saint John's Church Ridge Street in Orange. Visiting will be held at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street in West Orange on Friday from 5-9 PM. Interment will take place on Monday 11:00 AM at Calvary Cemetery in Drums Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to: Alzheimer's Association Greater New Jersey Chapter 400 Morris Ave. Suite 251 Denville, NJ 07834-1365. Frank was born and raised in Tresckow , PA., and lived in Clifton before moving to West Orange 32 years ago. He was a plater, owning and operating A&F Electroplating Plating, Inc. in West Orange since 1968. He was an avid classic car collector and Frank was the treasurer and member for 23 years for the NJ Open Road Thunderbird Club and a member of the Mercedes Club of America Northern NJ Section. Mr. Chabala proudly served in the United States Army. Frank was the beloved husband of 58 years of Lucille Chabala (nee Smalley). Devoted father of Barry and his wife Rosemary and Julie Ann Morrison and her husband Michael. Loving brother of Michael Chabala. Cherished grandfather of Jaclyn, Sarah, Frankie, Joey, Abbey, and Kyle.
