Obituary of Kathleen Bridget Kostecki

Kathleen Bridget "Kay" Kostecki, 80 Kathleen B. "Kay" Kostecki, (nee Raftery), 80 of West Orange, passed away on Tuesday December 16, 2014 at the Cliff's at Eagle Rock in West Orange. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday December 20, 2014 at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street in West Orange at 8:30AM. Then to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Ave. West Orange for the Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, 225 Ridgedale Ave. in East Hanover. Visitation will be held on Friday from 3-7 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Kay's name to the Arthritis Foundation, 555 Route 1 South, Suite 320, Iselin, NJ 08830. Kay was born in Orange and was a lifelong resident of West Orange. She worked as a Controller for JW Goodliffe & Sons in Linden. Kay was a longtime member and past treasurer of the Irish American Society of the Oranges. She was very active in the Our Lady of Lourdes Church and Parish, where she attended Grammar School and was also married. Kay was honored as the Deputy Grand Marshal of the West Orange St. Patrick's Day Parade in 1988. Kay was the beloved wife of the late George W. Kostecki. Devoted mother of Kathleen Kostecki, William, Edward and Michael. Loving sister of the late Margaret McElroy, Nancy Kostecki, and Jack Raftery. Cherished grandmother of Tara, William, Molly, Kayla, Melissa and Nicole. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
