Mary Kay and Colleen, I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of your Mom. She was always so sweet and kind to all the "Tory Corner Kids". If you grew up on or near Glennon Place, you knew Evelyn. All the Moms looked out for all the kids in the neighborhood and she was one of the treasures. May your memories of her carry you through this difficult time. A true West Orange Icon. I'm sure your Dad (another Great Man) was waiting at the Gate to take her hand. Rest in Peace, Evelyn

Mary Kay and Colleen:
I'm so sad to hear about your Mother. I was just asking my brother Paul a couple of weeks ago if he had heard from any of the other West Orange Gibbons'. I have many fond memories of Aunt Evelyn at our family gatherings when we were kids. She was always so sweet and kind to us kids and also a great friend to my own parents. I know that having you as her children and Uncle Joe as her husband must have brought great joy to her life. It sounds like she enjoyed good health throughout her life as I understand she retired only a year ago - that is amazing. I actually remember when she started that job (which makes me feel really old). I also remember the time that she was so kind to come a visit me when I was a patient at St. Barnabas many years ago.
I hope you are all well. My family's prayers and thoughts are with you and your families. Take solace in the fact that your Mom and Dad are together again - as are my own parents. God Bless you.
Cousin Kevin Gibbons
