Barbara Ann Smith, Barbara Ann Smith,(nee Tandberg) , 73, of Caldwell, passed away on Sunday August 17, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday August 19, 2014 at Saint Aloysius Church, 219 Bloomfield Ave. in Caldwell at 11:15 AM. Interment will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Caldwell. Arrangements are entrusted to The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street, West Orange, NJ 07052. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Barbara's name to; Saint Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center 95 Old Short Hills Road, 1st FL, West Orange, NJ 07052 Barbara was born and raised in Staten Island before residing in Caldwell. She was a Medical Receptionist working for Stanley Skopit. She treasured each and every moment spent with her loving family. Barbara was the wife of 51 years of Gerald "Jerry" Smith Sr. Devoted mother of Gerald Jr., Steven and his wife Cheryl, Thomas and his wife Patricia, Michael and his wife Jill, and Laurie Cavalieri and her husband Erio.
