Obituary of Lidia Cristina Sorrentino

Lidia Cristina Sorrentino, age 92, of West Orange, NJ passed away on December 20, 2022, peacefully at home.

Lidia was born on June 15, 1930 in Lucera, Italy and came to the United States with her husband, Francesco Sorrentino and her two children. Luciano and Anna Maria, in 1964 by boat on the Leonardo Da Vinci.  

Lidia was passionate about cooking, travel and of course family. She was a seamstress for many years and always elegant, with a great fashion sense, and instilled a love for clothes and shopping in her Daughter and Granddaughters. 

Lidia travelled the world extensively with her family, spending most summers in Italy.

She leaves behind her adoring Daughter, Anna Maria Sorrentino, her brother Silvano Fusco, and her beloved Grandchildren, Giuliana Torre,   Jacopo Sorrentino, Letizia Sorrentino and Oliver Ong, as well as their spouses, and her three great Grandchildren, Jaya, Ayan, and Lidia. 

Lidia was predeceased by her husband Francesco Sorrentino,  her son Luciano Sorrentino, her father Amadio Fusco and mother, Albina Pedone Fusco, brothers Romano, Benito, Ralph, Mario, Vittorio, Gino and her sister Anna.

A visitation will be held at  Dangler Funeral Home at 340 Main Street, West Orange from 10 AM to 12:30 PM,  immediately followed by a Funeral Service from 12:30 PM - 1:00 PM at the same location.
