My wife Ellen and I send our condolences to the Tobias Family. Dan and I played baseball in our younger years and actually saw each other at Nha Be, Vietnam in 1967. I also worked side by side with Dan, fire department and police department for many years. Caring, thoughtful, always wanting to help where he could, on and off the job. Great sense of humor and a pleasure to be around. No one had a bigger smile! He will be missed!!! Andrew J. Yantorn, Jr. (Florida)

My condolences to all the Tobias. In my early years we lived next door to the Tobias at 21 and 23 Meade Street. Years later, Danny was a groomsman in my wedding party. I will always remember his big sly smile. John Bell

We at Essex Auto knew Dan pretty well. He was an outstanding man and never had a bad word about anyone. He was always pleasant to all that knew and didn't know him. He will be missed very much and never forgotten. Our prayers and condolences go out to the entire family.
