Time is a currency that we cannot waste…
Abuela there aren’t enough words to describe how incredible of a person you were
I prayed we would have a little more time with you but the angels called to bring you home. I am beyond grateful that my girls were able to spend time with you, how many kids get to spend time with there great grandparents
you were the matriarch of the family and you will forever be a part of who we are.
I remember I wrote a report on you in 5th grade, I wish I still had it today
I don’t remember a lot, but all of the memories I have of you are sweet and exactly how a gramby should be
I hope you are comfortable and I hope that grandpa reached down to raise you up to heaven and all of its glory
Love you always

Always will cherish the few years I’ve known you and your family. Unbelievable the energy you brought every time I spent with you. Never saw you sad. Always ready to light up a room with that glass of wine in your hands. Loved annoying you just to hear your choice of words. Thank you for accepting me as your own. May God grant me your looks at your age. You will forever live in my heart mama. Rest In Peace along with your two men.

To the matriarch of our family…..My Dearest Grandma.
I have been dreading this moment for what seems like forever and the anxiety I feel right now is so evident, it almost feels like I’ll never catch my breath. Tomorrow is a day I don’t believe I will ever be prepared for.
I was blessed to have been with you in your final days.
Though this does offer me some comfort, I can tell you that my sadness at this moment is absolutely deafening. It’s hard to imagine a world, my life without you in it. I know Grandpa needed you more. I know you missed him terribly and you were tired. Saying it out loud makes it tangible and something I can make sense of. But my heart is broken. It’s absolutely broken. If there was anyone I thought would have made it to 100….it was you but I know you couldn’t bare anymore time without Grandpa. I know the last 3 weeks were so hard for you but God knows how desperately I wanted more time. I can’t express the impact that you’ve had in my life. I will miss our moments that were only ours. Moments of me tickling you until yelled at me, moments of you loving to see photos on my phone of my life, moments of sharing food together and me sneaking you more wine…..moments that I will forever cherish but moments that my soul will miss so terribly. You had a long and wonderful 96 years of sharing your love and incredible energy with the world. I just pray to God that I have half of your strength, tenacity, and absolute love for life for as long as I remain of flesh and bone. My heart feels so incredibly broken. I will love you always and forever. Decanse En Paz Grandma…..until we meet again. Give grandpa the biggest hug for me! I love you both so dearly!

My deepest condolences to the Fernandez family. Titi aged so gracefully, and sassy I loved her silver hair. She so loved the Lord, so I take comfort that she is dancing a jig up there with her beloved Husband and Son. May they rest in peace. She influenced my life in so many ways and the memories still make me laugh out loud. Because of her I have a lifelong weakness for hotdogs, McCrorys, and Woolworth's. Lunch at the counter was a treat with her, and Hotdogs from the street vendors was a great day. She walked alot, and we often walked all of downtown Brooklyn covering a lot of ground in a day. From Dr. appointments to grocery shopping and the vivero. 8:30AM Mass always reminds me of her, that was how she started the day. She was vivacious, funny, witty, a good cook and an attention getter..one quick pull on the ear, and you heard her loud and clear. Being a tomboy was more than she bargained for when I came into the house, and I know I was good for her Prayer life. I heard her many a times asking God WHY! As I hopped over the fence to the neighbors yard, chased "Bobby" through the house into his hiding spot, jumping down the front steps and biting my tongue..she really disliked having to explain to my Mom "what happened" let's just say she used colorful Spanish words to describe the incident. When we did talk on the phone, she always relived one of the moments I nearly gave her a heart attack. It was always good for a long laugh, and to be reminded how special she was to me, what our time together meant to us both, and the special place in my families heart that she will always hold. She was a blessing and a God send to me and my family. Keeping you all in Prayer.

To my beautiful Queen. Mom, I will miss you terribly. These were the most difficult days of my life. After losing dad I prayed I would be able to cherish a few more years with you but that was not the case. You were supposed to be with dad and also with your son.
The memories I have of you will keep me laughing for years to come and the moments we shared together will always be close to my heart. I will miss brushing your white beautiful hair and fussing to make you look perfect. You were my best friend. My heart is broken but I will live with that in order to keep you alive in my heart and thoughts.
To the absolute generous, funny, cool and beautiful queen MOM!
Now don’t you cause too much commotion up there!
I love you Mom and may god keep you close.
Your daughter Adriana (Tati)
