Mercedes Kathryn "Sis" Marchese, 80 Mercedes Kathryn "Sis" Marchese , 80, of West Orange passed away on Thursday May 15, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday May 20, 2014 at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street in West Orange at 8:30AM. Then to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Ave. for the Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mercedes name to the American Heart Association, PO Box 417005 Boston, MA 02241-7005 or the Wounded Warrior Project 4899 Belfort Road Jacksonville, Florida 32256. Sis was born and raised in Orange moving to West Orange 62 years ago. She was a home maker. She was a member of the Orange Elks Ladies Auxiliary, and The Catholic Daughters of America of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in West Orange. Mercedes was the beloved wife of 62 years of August Marchese Sr. Devoted mother of August Jr. and his wife Ahou, Anthony Sr. and his wife Mary Grace, Karen Marchese and the late Joseph Marchese. Loving sister of Dorothy Deligny and the late Judge Conrad Koch and Toni Koch. Cherished grandmother of Patricia Gentile, Anthony Marchese Jr. and Krista Marchese. Great Grandmother of Meghan, Lauren, Susan, Kathryn, and Jaime Mercedes. She is also survived by her sister-in-laws Madeline Marchese and Joan Koch. Sis is survived by many nieces and nephews.
