Obituary of Kassandra C. Amann

Please share a memory of Kassandra to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Kassandra (“Kassie”) Cunningham Amann, of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania and formerly of West Orange, New Jersey, passed away on January 20, 2021.  Kassie was the loving mother of Leah and Connor and partner to Johnny Matos.

Kassie was born December 10, 1982, in Livingston, New Jersey to Thomas Amann and Kathleen Amann (deceased).  Kassie grew up in West Orange, New Jersey.  She was a graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes and West Orange High School (Class of 2001).  Kassie worked for many years as a manager at Panera Bread locations throughout New Jersey.  She was a valued employee and respected as a manager.  Kassie was a steadfast and loyal friend, who was always there when called upon.  She opened her home and her heart to those who needed support.

Kassie was most proud to be Leah’s and Connor’s mother.  Her love for them was boundless and unconditional.  Her spirit will live on through them.

Kassie has been predeceased in death by her mother, Kathleen Amann (January 9, 2013).  Kassie has been survived by her partner, Johnny Matos, her children, Leah and Connor, and her father, Thomas Amann, who reside in East Stroudsburg; and her brother, Daniel Amann, sister-in-law Jennifer Russoniello, and niece and nephew, Maria and Thomas of West Orange, New Jersey.  Kassie is also survived by many friends, and a large extended family who will miss her dearly.

“Grieve not…nor speak of me with tears…but laugh and talk of me as though I were beside you.  I loved you so… ‘twas heaven here with you.”

An Irish Blessing

May the road rise to meet you.

May the wind be always at your back.

May the sunshine warm your face, the rain fall soft upon your fields.

And until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Amen
