William “Billy” Busold, 64

William “Billy” Busold, of Parsippany passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2020.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street in West Orange.

Memorial Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday April 17, 2021 at 12:00 noon at St. Ann Church, 781 Smith Road in Parsippany.

Preceded in death by his loving parents John “Jack” and Erma of West Orange, he is survived by his devoted wife Leslie of 35 years; his three adoring children Sara, John, and Bobby; his dear siblings Michael, Karen, and Jamie; his nephews Jack and Chase; and his many extended family and friends.

His greatest joy was his family. He proudly served as a West Orange firefighter for 26 years before retiring in 2009. A practical jokester, he was known for his quick wit, his infectious laugh, and his ability to make people smile. As a lover of the Jersey shore, he would often be found crabbing, fishing, and boating. A lifelong fan of the New York Rangers, many will remember him as their youth hockey coach. He was greatly loved, and he will be dearly missed.

During the COVID 19 pandemic, all persons entering the Funeral Home will be required to wear a face mask or face covering throughout their stay. Likewise, all social distancing rules must be adhered to. Gathering together in groups should not happen. A continued flow throughout the facility will aid in keeping all of us safe, with everyone having an opportunity to pay their respects.
