Obituary of Patricia Ann Smith

Patricia Ann Smith - Patricia Ann Smith (nee O'Connor) of West Orange died on Saturday December 12, 2009 at her home in West Orange. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday December 16, 2009 at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange 340 Main Street at 8:30AM then to Our Lady of Lourdes Church for the Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum in East Hanover. Visiting will be Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Letters of condolence may be posted at danglerfuneralhome.com. Mrs. Smith was born in Orange and was a lifelong resident of West Orange. Patsy worked as Secretary for the Township of West Orange for 20 years before retiring in 2004, working her last ten years with the West Orange Fire Department. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Mr. & Mrs. Club, the Cana Club and the Rosary Altar Society, and was a volunteer with The Relay for Life and the West Orange Senior Citizens. Mrs. Smith was the beloved wife of 49 years of John Smith Sr. Devoted mother of Sharon Hintz and her husband Carl, Kathleen Charlton, Colleen Geier and her husband Buddy, Jeanne Smith and the late John Jr. Loving sister of Terri Smith and her husband Tom. Cherished grandmother of Erica and Michael Hintz, Lauren, Shannon and Allison Charlton and Tara, Brendan and John Henry Geier. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
