Obituary of Grace Ponte

West Orange – Grace Ponte passed away at Care One in Livingston on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 after a brief illness.  She was 93.

Born in Orange to the late Antonio and Maria (Scarpata) Laurano, she lived most of her life in West Orange.

She was a sales clerk for Montclair Stationery before retiring in 2003.

Mrs. Ponte was predeceased by her husband Frank in 1985.

Survivors include two sons, Robert and his wife Kathy, and Frank, Jr.; two grandchildren Michael Ponte and his wife Kelsey, and Michele Barbieri and her husband Joseph; her great-granddaughter Valentina Barbieri, and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are by the Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street, W. Orange, NJ 07052 (973) 325-1212.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, July 19, 2019 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM.  A funeral service will celebrate her life at 10:30 AM on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Montclair.
