Obituary of Nancy Lynch

Nancy Lynch, 89

Nancy Lynch (nee Mooney), 89, of West Orange passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday January 20, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.  

Visiting will be held on Thursday January 24, 2019 at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main St. in West Orange from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy’s name may be made to: St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.

A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday January 25, 2019 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Ave. in West Orange at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.

Nancy was born in Orange, lived in Newark and North Arlington before moving to West Orange in 1965.  Loving wife and mother, Nancy dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Giblin Association, and a past member of the Irish American Association of the Oranges. One of the highlights of Nancy’s life, in 1954, she and 3 girlfriends drove cross-country to and from California and worked at Kaiser Hospital in Los Angeles.   

Nancy was the beloved wife of 58 years to Patrick Joseph Lynch. Devoted mother of Brendan and his wife Mary Ann, Patrick and his wife Kathy, Jimmy and his wife Tara, and Eileen Quigley and her husband Tommy. Loving sister of Fr. John Fleming, and the late James “Jim” Mooney, and Anna Fleming. Cherished grandmother of Garrett, Emma, Patrick Jr., Kristyna, Alexa, Bridget, Julia, Molly, Tara and her husband Owen Stewart, and Conor.
