Obituary of Daniel Joseph Carroll

Daniel Joseph Carroll, 62

 

Daniel Joseph Carroll, 62, of West Orange passed away on Friday October 12, 2018.   

 

Danny was born in Newark NJ and raised in the City of Orange.  He moved to the City of Orange 24 years ago.  Danny was predeceased by his parents, Joseph  Carroll and Agness (Kelly.  Danny worked for the United States Postal Service for  40 years as both a Clerk and a Letter Carrier.  Danny prided himself on giving his postal patrons the utmost in customer service.  Danny was a lifelong New York Mets and Cleveland Browns fan.  He was an avid Scrabble player.  Danny ran all the office pools and his friends and coworkers always looked forward to his season long football pick em and Super Bowl pools.  Danny enjoyed making gravy and meatballs on Sundays.

Danny was the beloved husband of 25 years to Maureen Carroll (nee Cullen).  Devoted father to Shane Carroll and stepson Anthony Carvalloza.  Cherished step grandfather to Tyler and Ali.  Beloved brother to Robert Carroll and his wife Michele.  Uncle to Daniel, his wife Berty, and Courtney.  Great uncle to Jason Aidan, and Caelyn.

 

Services are entrusted to The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street in West Orange, and will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made in Danny’s name to: Township of West Orange Alex Caprio Animal Facility, 311 Watchung Ave., West Orange, NJ 07052.
