Obituary of Anthony Paul Della Terza

Anthony Paul Della Terza, 33

Anthony Paul Della Terza, 33, of Bloomfield passed away on Monday April 23, 2018.

His loving family will be greeting people on Friday April 27, 2018 from 9:30 to 10:00 AM at Saint Joseph’s Church, 40 Benvenue Ave.  in West Orange,  followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am.  Arrangements are entrusted to The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street.   Letters of condolence may be posted at danglerfuneralhome.com.

Anthony was born in Livingston, raised in West Orange, moving to Bloomfield 7 years ago.

Anthony was the beloved husband of Amelia Della Terza (nee DeCastro).  Cherished son of Anthony B. and Lisa Della Terza (nee Neglia). Loving brother of Michael and his wife Adriana. Adored grandson of Phyllis Neglia and Jean Della Terza.

Anthony had a great presence not only due to his stature and sculpted physique but through his intriguing ideas and genuine actions. He was destined to take over his grandfather’s West Orange based tuxedo business as his father before him had. Grown up through the West Orange public school system Anthony was a fixture through the community. Talented in youth football those that played with him say he was unique on the field. Always well dressed and driving an attractive vehicle with style. Anthony became famous among his peers. Through all the changes in his life he was consistently at his father’s store, Anthony Richards Formal Wear, who was grooming him to eventually take over the business. As the years progressed Anthony took on more and more responsibilities in the business and the store flourished through his innovative ideas and charisma. For many years, he has brought joy to thousands on their most special of days from weddings to proms. Those fortunate enough to utilized his service were always greeted with respect and a handshake, reminiscent of a time and people when character and mortality were held to a higher standard. He gave unconditionally helping those in need as he could, from elderly that were down on their luck to children that lacked guidance. He spent some of his last days in peace taking great joy in cultivating peppers as a gift for his father. Anthony was looking forward to his upcoming wedding with Amelia Della Terza in the fall and upcoming trip to Dominican Republic with his wife. Through all the darkness this world brings he always remained a loyal and true to those he cared for. May the most troubling questions of his life be reconciled in death. Son, brother, friend, and husband to be will be missed. His legacy will live on through all those he touched.
