Obituary of Michael Louis Chiarella

Michael Louis Chiarella, 93 - Michael Louis Chiarella, 93, of Brick, formerly of West Orange, passed away on Thursday December 6, 2012. Funeral Services will be held on Monday December 10, 2012, at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street, West Orange at 8:30 AM then to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Ave. in West Orange for the Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery in Whippany. Visiting will be Sunday 3-7 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Michael's name to Caregivers Volunteers, 253 Chestnut Street, Toms River, NJ 08753. Michael was born in Orange and was raised and lived in West Orange before moving to Brick 34 years ago. He was a Bus Driver working for Transport of New Jersey for over 30 years before retiring in 1978. He was a member of the Bus Drivers Union. His favorite pastime was to fly pigeons. Mr. Chiarella was the beloved husband of the late Florence Chiarella (nee Minard). Devoted father of Anne Forbes, Thomas and his wife Brenda, MaryEllen Chandler and her husband Steven, Michael E. and his wife Linda, and the late Margaret Chiarella. Loving brother of Vivian Petrillo, Santina Marrota, Joseph Chiarella, Elaine Alfieri and the late Thomas Chiarella and Concetta D'Aries. Cherished grandfather of 9 and great-grandfather of 6. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
