Obituary of Pat Galasso

Pat "Galo" Galasso, 74 - Pat Galasso, AKA "Pat Galo", of West Orange passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2012. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street, West Orange, N.J. at 8:15 AM; then to Sacred Heart Cathedral in Newark for the Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM. Internment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. Visiting at the funeral home will be Monday, May 22 from 4-8 PM. Pat was born and raised in Newark and lived in Roseland before moving to West Orange one year ago. Pat was an entertainer and a member of the Screen Actors Guild. Pat has been called the consummate cabaret singer. While appearing in Las Vegas, Pat was given the honor of being named the "Lounge Entertainer of the Year". He not only had a great voice, but also played a magnificent trumpet and flugel horn. Pat was the beloved son of the late Sal and Mary Galasso. He was the cherished brother of Neva Rosamilia and her husband Nick; the loving uncle of Gina Pisano and her husband Jimmy; Sal Rosamilia and his wife Karyn; Great Uncle of Bella and Nico Rosamilia. He is also survived by the family dog, his pal, "Goumba".
