Obituary of Robert Powers

Robert "Bob" Powers, 80 - Robert "Bob" Powers fell asleep in the arms of his Savior and Redeemer, Christ the Lord, on Thursday, January 12, 2012. A viewing will be held at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street in West Orange, NJ on Monday January 16, 2012, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. With the services at 6:00 PM. Bob was active for 25 years at the Abundant Life Worship Center, Nutley, NJ, serving his Lord in ministry. Recently, he and his wife joined New Beginnings Christian Church, Brick, NJ to continue the calling God had put upon them. Bob's legacy is left to all who loved him, his beloved wife of 57 years, Helen (nee Wilson); 3 daughters- Susan Malcolm & husband Darryl; Karen Alpaugh & husband Steve; Barbara Ann; 1 son, his namesake, Robert, Jr. & wife Jennifer; the light of his life, granddaughter Cati; step-grandson Michael Anasto; his dear brother Tom Powers & wife Sophie. The family wishes to express our heartfelt gratitude for the incredible support, uplifting prayers, love and concern during Bob's brief illness.
