Obituary of Judith Ella Corvelli

Judith Corvelli, 80

Judith E. Corvelli (nee Landers) 80, of Succasunna, NJ, loving wife, mother and cherished grandmother, passed away peacefully and entered into eternal life on January 20, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on September 28, 1943, to William and Gladys (nee Boring) Landers of West Orange, NJ., where she was raised along with her sisters Pat and Gladys. She attended Washington Elementary School, Edison Jr. High and graduated from West Orange High School.

She married her husband Dante (Don) Corvelli in 1964 and together they raised their four children in West Orange and formed life-long friendships many who were there to celebrate Judy's 80th Birthday.

Judy was employed at NJ Bell and spent many years as legal secretary at the Law Offices of Dennis Dowd while raising her family.  She was an Executive Secretary for the Livingston Board of Education a position she held until her retirement and relocated to Succasunna, NJ.

Becoming a grandmother was a role that brought her immense love and happiness. Being Mima to her adoring grandchildren Sydney, Dante and Max, she formed deep connections, a shoulder to lean on and as with her own children, she was a voice of reason, always offering guidance and encouragement.

Judy is predeceased by her parents and beloved sisters Patricia Landers and Gladys O'Leary.  She is survived by her husband, Dante' and her four devoted children; sons Dante Jr., and girlfriend Betsy of Whippany, NJ, William (Billy) and daughter-in-law Lisa, grandchildren Sydney, Dante, and Massimo of Mountain Lakes, NJ., James L. of Succasunna, NJ and her daughter, Karen Laird and son-in-law Stephen of Chester Township, NJ., along with many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Judy's quick wit, contagious laugh and love of family, friends and neighbors will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

Visiting will be held on Tuesday January 22, 2024 from 3:00 TO 7:00 PM at Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main St, in West Orange. 

A Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday January 23, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Ave., West Orange.

Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
